An eminent scholar of islam sheikh rabie RA once narrated
that he heard about a pious lady called fiddhah lived in a village. The miraculous
story about her enticed him and he was inclined to see her in her village he heard
that she had a she goat which gives milk as well as honey. With new two bowls
he went and asked for the favor of providing milk and honey of his share for
benedictions the lady asked him to milk her goat and to his surprise he saw
that her teats were producing both. He drank the milk and later on eat the
honey when asked how this strange goat reached her the lady Narrated her story
that in past my family was very poor had only one she goat and the milk sold
fetched the money needed for meager subsistence. When Eiduzzuah came, my
husband said, we have only this she goat why not sacrifice it in the name of
Allah. She replied we have nothing but the milk of the goat to live on, so
under such circumstance Allah has not made it incumbent to sacrifice such only
animal. My husband later on deferred the sacrifice till next Eid.
A guest on same day came to us. I asked my husband that we
should entertain our guest so the she goat will have to be slaughtered so that
its meat is cooked for the guest her husband was prepared for the same but I
requested to do it outside the house behind the wall so that children may not
see and start crying. Husband did so, as soon as, he left the house she saw
that the she goat was standing on the wall resembling her own she goat so she
also went outside to see to her great astonishment
that her husband had already slaughtered and was skinning the goat. I said in
strange voice to see how the another she goat has come to the house my husband
replied with a sigh of relief that the Great Allah has granted them a good
recompense for entertaining the guest by sacrificing their she goat. Ever since
then new she goat has been giving us both milk and honey. What a fine reward
for entertaining guests. Lady asked her children that this goat feeds what ever
grows in our heart as long as our hearts remain noble, untarnished by evil, the
milk given by the goat will be tasteful and acceptable to all. But as soon as
the heart become false the milk will turn bad. So, guard your heart against all
types of evils to that everything comes in your way will continue to benefit
you.
